Individual Self-Care Coaching and EFT – Virtual
If you are interested in learning simple tools to improve your well-being and self-care, Rhei C is available virtually for one-to-one sessions. Rhei C. has been working with clients for over 15 years, as well as working in the mind-body field for nearly 30. She shares her intuitive, heart-centered approach to wellness using EFT, EFTA (a variation), Yoga Nidra, mindfulness practice, and movement-based techniques. These techniques are great tools for deepening self-care and self-healing, letting go of present moment stressors, past events that are upsetting, and fears of the future. They can relieve feelings of sadness, overwhelm and anxiety, help with emotional regulation, and calm the central nervous system. They can also be helpful in setting goals and sticking to them. While some clients may find it helpful to discuss details of events they wish to release, it is not necessary, and in fact the entire process can be done relatively silently. Rhei C guides clients to find and learn their own personal tools to implement in their daily life.
This is not formal counseling, and as such insurance is not accepted. A sliding scale is available. Please contact rheic@consciouscampus.com to set up an appointment.
If you are in the New Milford, CT area, in-person sessions are available. Additionally, sessions can incorporate walking in the woods, using the power of nature to assist in letting go of what is not serving you, and inviting in the calm and peace that is available to you at all times.
These techniques are not a substitute for therapy. If you are experiencing severe symptoms, a mental health crisis or having any form of suicidal ideation, it is best to seek professional therapy. While it can be a great complement to traditional counseling, please first consult with your therapist.
EFT, also known as tapping or psychological acupressure, involves tapping specific points on the body, primarily on the head and the face, in a particular sequence. While doing this, the person focuses on the issue that they wish to treat. The technique can be helpful for people with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, and other challenges.
As with acupuncture and acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. Tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips can restore the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues. It can also work in a similar way to mindfulness, as it can draw a person’s attention to their body and breathing.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses both closed and open mindfulness. Through body sensing, breath awareness, guided imagery and other practices, it switches you out of flight or fight and into the relaxation response — your body’s natural healing state. Twenty minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel like 2-3 hours of sleep and aid with insomnia.
