This weekend I brought my parents and my son to the Annual Ukrainian Festival in Stamford, CT. My father was born in Ukraine, he escaped from Stalin with his family when he was a little boy.
I have been attending Ukrainian Festivals since I was a kid. I clearly remember they were typically small in attendance but always big on pride and passion! This year the pride and passion was abundant and the attendance was astounding, even with it being a rainy day. It was evident that this year was an important year to celebrate our Ukrainian Heritage.
