Lourds Lane

Bio:

Lourds Lane – International Speaker, Educator & Broadway Creator

Lourds Lane is an internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, educator, and Broadway creator who has dedicated her life to empowering young people to unleash their authentic “superhero” selves. As the founder and curriculum creator of the global nonprofit The SuperYou FUNdation (superyoufun.org), Lourds has reached more than 40,000 youth and adults worldwide — particularly those who are marginalized or at risk — through fun, interactive, arts- and music-infused programs that spark healing, confidence, and community.

A classically trained musician from the age of three and a Harvard honors graduate, Lourds is also the writer, composer, and electric violin–playing co-star of the Broadway- and West End–bound musical SuperYou (superyoumusical.com). Her electrifying performances with the cast have sold out Carnegie Hall and London’s Lyric Theatre, and her music has gone viral across the globe. Thousands of fans continue to translate and post covers of her songs — celebrated weekly on #FanCoverFriday across SuperYou socials — and her ballad “To My Angels” is now the 4th most-performed song in senior college showcases in the U.S., standing proudly alongside established Broadway musicals.

Recognized for her impact at the intersection of art and social change, Lourds is a recipient of the Ideagen Global Leadership Award, a finalist for the Actor’s Equity Paul Robeson Award honoring “dedication to the betterment of humankind,” and a two-time finalist for the Fred Ebb Award in musical theatre. She has delivered her signature music-infused keynotes at TEDWomen, TEDYouth, the United Nations, Forbes Women, Microsoft’s Global Women’s Conference, the United Federation of Teachers, and on Pride stages across the country as an opening speaker and performer — where audiences leave not just inspired, but transformed.

What thought leaders are saying:

“Lourds is uncrushable, especially in her mission to help others find their inner superhero. She beats to the music of her own drummer, with a wonderful combination of smarts, confidence, and curiosity. She makes me think differently and dream bigger.” — Denise Restauri, Producer, Forbes Women

“Lourds Lane charmed the TEDWomen audience by playing her violin and sharing the story of her life from child musical prodigy to adult ‘superhero’ self.” — Pat Mitchell, President/CEO of PBS, Co-Founder and Host of TEDWomen
